This cookware set is an exceptional value, including all of the pans needed to equip your kitchen with the most used cooking pieces. As the set contains only basic pieces, you'll really use each and every pan. It includes saucepans for whisking a homemade sauce or cooking your morning oatmeal, a big stockpot for soups, stews or boiling pasta, and skillets (probably the most used pan in any kitchen) that will help you turn out perfect crepes or a simple grilled cheese sandwich. The set also includes a saute pan, a wide, straight-sided pan that can perform many of the functions of a skillet but features deep sides for extra capacity, perfect for one dish meals. Start your dish in this pan by sautéing onions and browning meat, then add your liquid and other ingredients into the same pan to finish on the stovetop or in the oven.

Excellent set of cookware. I was amazed at how differently the SS cooks the food. I have always had nonstick cookware but ventured out with this set. Would definitely buy this set again as well as her other items!!

"Ruined my wife's Mothers day - rebate company bankrupt - leaking sauce pot where handle connects." 2009-05-09
By A. Sober
My wife wanted this set for Mother's day and such decided to order it a week or so ago. It arrived today. We unpacked it and read over the care instructions, etc. Just moments ago she decided to boil some eggs in the small deep sauce pot. Moments into the boil we hear this sizzling and popping coming from our ceramic stove top and there is a leak coming from the handle where it's riveted to the pot making filling the pan any deeper than where the handle attaches impossible. Despite it being a Saturday I tried the 800-214-8369 customer relations number at the bottom of the LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY card to see if by some small miracle a person might answer. NOPE. The recorded announcement began with how the rebate company the manufacturer used has filed for bankruptcy and that they were sorry for any inconveniences. Eventually I ended up with an option to select for warranty work if you felt you received a defective product..hmmm, you think. They give you an address and I have to assume we must pay to ship the defective item back to them. Nothing is stated about shipping cost reimbursement. Later in the recording there was an option to speak to a customer service representative, selecting that option led to yet another recording that the offices were closed. It appears there is a quality control issue with this set based on other reviews and it doesn't appear rebates will be honored. Not the best first impression of our Rachael Ray product. We'll test the rest of items for leaks and if this is the only one leaking we'll request a new pot be sent out with a prepaid shipping label to send the defective one back, otherwise the entire set is going back. HUGE INCONVENIENCE!!!

"Over 6 months waiting on rebate!" 2009-05-05
By R. Smith (Virginia Beach, VA)
I purchased these pans, which I love back Nov 2008. It is May 2009 and I'm still waiting for the $20 rebate. I call the company and each time I'm told it is being sent on a date that is in two weeks. I've now been told this 6 times. I have until May 17, this time.

 "WONDERFUL SET!" 2009-05-05
By Wickiup (Eugene, OR USA)
I ordered this same set from JCPenney in January 2009 for $200 including shipping. Fortunately, I had about $180 worth of gift cards that needed to be used. I love everything about this set, especially the grippy handles. They are wonderful! I wasn't too sure, at first, whether I really wanted a nice set of pots and pans that had orange handles but it hasn't bothered me one bit. (I would have preferred blue or black or most any other color.) When I bought these at Penney's, I had five prerequisites: silicone handles, a thick double bottom, stainless steel, no non-stick, and clear lids. This was the only set I could find that met my needs. These pans have a nice, thick bottom that I have noticed takes a longer time to heat up than most. However, the plus side to that is the heat is very even, once it gets hot. Things do have a tendency to stick, especially in the skillets, but if you use a little Pam spray or olive oil and then soak the pan, you will have NO trouble at all getting the pan sparkling clean again without scrubbing. The two skillets are nice sizes but I do keep one large 13" skillet around from a different set that is non-stick. The big one is perfect for one-skillet dinners or breakfasts and the two frying pans that came with this set just aren't large enough for that. This set is very well made and I expect to have it for a long time. If I had any complaints about it, the only two things I can think of are the color of the handles and the fact that one of my smaller pots leaks around where the handle is attached to the pot (only when it's cold). I left it on my counter with water in it one day and it left a puddle. The huge pot is terrific! I love the size and can make enough soup to freeze half of it if I want.

I love this set and would recommend it VERY highly.

 "Love it!" 2009-03-27

I love these pots and pans. They are very easy to use and cook a great meal. Just watch your boyfriend/husband, if you burn something they get stained.
