I like this set of cookware. It is a good buy for the money, and it seems as if it will hold up well. Just don't set the heat too high as it will quickly burn what is cooking and you will have to deal with the mess. These pots and pans cook well on a lower heat setting. If you cook on a lower setting, clean-up is a breeze!!

I have always liked the Farberware cookware for over 30 years. The steel pots are perfect. I am not crazy about the non-stick ones, wish they had covers too, and a bit heavier. Besides, I don't care for non-stick surface as much because it could leave toxins after a scratch. I like the glass lids, they are easier to clean. The size of most pots in this set is fairly small which you may not realize from the size provided in quarts, but appropriate for a small household's kitchen. Overall, it's a pretty good quality set for the price compared to all those other brands with highly inflated prices.

I got my Farberware Classic pots and pans in my wedding shower 36 years ago. At the time, I chose them chiefly for their sleek, modern appearance and their beautiful curved handles. In using them I found that they cook as beautifully and they look. The aluminum core provides even cooking and helps prevent scorching or sticking, and the pots clean up easily. This stuff lasts forever, and after years of daily use, performs as well as it did the day I took it out of the box. I can't comment on the non-stick pieces, since I don't own any, but I would recommend Farberware stainless steel to anyone looking for a quality product that will hold up over the years.

My girlfriend had been complaining for months how she needed new pots and pans. The old set just didn't measure up to the task at hand. This product is an outstanding replacement even if a bit on the heavy side. So far, after three uses I realize how superior the new pots are to the old ones. The eggs don't stick, the stew doesn't scorch and adhere to the bottom of the pot, etc. The pots even seem to grip whatever it is they are set on. I have most other Cuisinart hard anodized cookware pieces (saucepans, saute pans, stockpot, etc.), but I didn't have a 12-inch pan. I have only used this 1 time, but I fell in love immediately. I thought I would not like having a long handle, but because it is so large, I think it is best not to have the long handle. It takes a little getting used to using the 2 shorter handles, but I think it will be fine when I get used to them. Also, wanted a cover. It worked great---very even heating and a breeze to clean.

Highly recommend this 12-inch saute pan.

The stainless steel material is very thin, and it feels very cheap. The stainless steel coating/exterior was GONE after one use, completely blackened. I was just trying to brown some ribs and the heat was medium high. NOT worth it. Youa are much better off with Calphalon everyday pan.

Look, I bought this in Jul/07 for about seventyish and I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase. True, it's not gonna stand up to Analon, Caphalon pro and the like. But for sub $100 you can't go wrong if you take care of it. Analon is prettier and more durable - the handles on this leave a little to be desired compared with my caphalon pro pans. OVerall very satisfied, good bang for the buck.

The lid from the smallest sauce pan was missing. I called and asked if they could send the missing piece. Instead of making it simple, they said I'd have to send the whole thing back to them. Because of this, I asked for a refund. The pans themselves also don't look nearly as good as they do in the photo. The lesson here is to not buy items like this online. Your best bet is going to a store and seeing what you are going to buy in person beforehand. Also, if you run into any problems, it's less of a hassle to take care of.

I purchased this set from Amzaon back in 2001 and they are still going strong. The ones that I replaced with this set didn't even last this long. I didn't expect this set of pots to last 46 years the way my first set of Wearever aluminum pots did, but the 2 qt saucepan-my most used pot- only lasted 9 months before it warped and could no longer be covered. I called the company, but they said that I'd have to pay to ship it to them and pre-pay for shipping it back and if they decided in their sole discretion that I used it on "high heat" they wouldn't replace it! I have a regular electric coil stove, not a "professional model" or even a mock professional model. True, I boil my pasta water on "high", as I did with my Wearever pots for 46 years, but I think if you can't take boiling on high, you shouldn't be called a pot. I just replaced the warped pot with a Calphalon 2 1/2 qt on sale at Amazon and I'm hoping it'll be able to take the heat.

After doing some research, I chose to purchase this 10-piece set mainly due to price of $109.00. I received the first set and found that the 3-quart saucepan was warped. As a result, the lid would not fit correctly and I sent that set back. The second set arrived a few days later and this time the 3-quart as well as the stockpot was warped. So I sent the second set back and requested a 3rd set. To my surprise, Amazon just simply refunded my money without my approval and canceled my request for the third set. I was hoping that the third set would have been in order but I guess I will never know. Now it is back to doing some more research before I buy a different cookware set.
